Espace, one of
Mustard.uk.com's fastest growing clients, has pulled
off its own Italian job with the relaunch of one
of its most popular routes.
Whilst there was no Michael Caine or Mark Wahlberg in sight,
there was definitely a cosmopolitan feel about the freight
forwarder's prestigious Lichfield home, as industry experts
and customers enjoyed traditional fine wine and food.
The event, which is yet another example of Espace's innovative
marketing campaign, highlights the continued success of its
Italian operation, with the firm counting the likes of Frans
Maas, DFDS, Schenker and Pirelli amongst its high profile customer
base. |
"This side of the business currently accounts for £375,000 of our
turnover, a figure we are hoping to grow to £600,000 through new accounts
and expansion of existing orders", explained Helen Crooks, Director.
She continued: "The Italian promotion will see companies, who
place orders after June 1st, receive remote controlled Mini Cars
as a thank you, with the rewards linked to a structured incentive
programme."
This is not the first time that Espace has revolutionised the way
the industry operates, with the dynamic business taking just three
years to establish a £3m turnover and profitable routes into
France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia and the Benelux countries.
As Helen was quick to admit, the company owes a great deal to Mustard.uk.com,
the West Midlands' premier high growth support service managed by
Birmingham Chamber.
"We have received significant support in business planning and marketing
issues, with the consultants showing a unique understanding of our corporate
model and unique selling points."
Espace, which is currently on course to secure the Investors in People
accreditation, is continuing its relationship with Mustard by using
expert consultancy to develop a new IT strategy. This bold move will
eventually lead to the creation of a bespoke on-screen booking service
and a brand new website, which will boast an on-line quote generation
programme.
Genesis Consulting's Arun Luther, who has worked wih the management
team of Helen Crooks and fellow director Tony Shally from the very
start, was quick to highlight a unique customer service mentality.
"The company has invested heavily in both its infrastructure and its workforce
and can lay claim to some of the most talented bi, tri and quad-lingual graduates
in the UK. It also has an insatiable appetite for exploring new business ventures."
This hunger for expansion has seen the launch of Espace International
in December last year, a company specially created to deal with sea,
air freight and Eastern European road freight.
Tony concluded: "We now have two business models that should
generate over £5.5m by the beginning of 2005. After that, we'll
have to look at the next set of challenges and how we can capture
an even greater share of the marketplace."
