Female entrepreneurs are being urged
to turn to Mustard.uk.com to support them in business.
The move comes as a recent survey identified a growing
trend for women to set out in business on their own.
"Women in Business" a report from Barclays Bank, found that women are
now behind a third of all business start-ups.
Mustard.uk.com offers support and advice for entrepreneurs which
takes account of outside demands on time and energy, including families
and other lifestyle factors, and each client's needs are matched
individually. One female entrepreneur who has been supported by Mustard.uk.com
is Helen Crooks, a director of Espace Europe, a freight broker, based
in Lichfield.
Launched one year ago, Espace now employs seven people and deals
with countries overseas including France, Spain, Italy, Germany and
the Benelux countries.
Helen said: "The support from Mustard.uk.com has been very useful.
My baby was five months old when I started up and I thought at the
time this is stupid, I should be at home. Now I'm glad I did what
I did. I think women can be a little hesitant about setting up in
business, but everyone deserves the chance to do it."
Another woman who has turned to Mustard.uk.com for business support
is Louise Peters, of Birmingham.
Through Mustard.uk.com, Louise is being advised by Genesis Consulting
of Birmingham, who are helping her with marketing and corporate image.
Louise is about to launch Golfer's Paradise, a mail order and Internet
supplier of women's golf clothing, which offers a new and exciting
look.
Louise said: "I have been impressed, particularly with the calibre
of people we have seen under the initiative. I think women have quite
a lot of 'get up and go' and if you are setting up a venture, you
do need people who are dynamic to help you. Mustard.uk.com has certainly
helped in that sense."
